CLASSIC SERMONS: TWELVE TIMELESS MESSAGES . . .

 Classic Sermons Introductions
This next book is but 95 pages in length yet it is not to be assumed of little consequence or insignificant due to its length. To do this would be robbery and indict oneself as indifferent to the great works, although abridged, of some of the men God has greatly used to mark our Christian faith and heritage. These chapters, which are to follow, are segments of the original sermons. From these segments and originals I have posted excerpts. My intention is to give you a taste that I hope will arouse your desire to delve further into the works of these men. Where possible I will include an address to the complete, and assumed original work, for your perusal. Prior to each chapter I will include a short biography of each author and post any resource web address that I think would be helpful. Bless you in your journey in Him.

Introduction to the Book

“The world has changed dramatically in the last few centuries, but the enduring message of Christianity has not. That message has been aptly chronicled by many powerful preachers in many memorable sermons – sermons worthy of reading decades, or even centuries, after their first delivery.

This small book, Classic Sermons, contains abridged and lightly updated versions of twelve timeless sermons. The topics that they cover are as vital today as the day they were written: sin, salvation, God’s love, duty, temptation, the Second Coming, eternity, and more – from the likes of John Bunyan, Billy Sunday, Jonathan Edwards, and D. L. Moody.

Whether you’re a student, a pastor, or simply a reader of great Christian literature, Classic Sermons is sure to provide you many timeless insights – and guidance for your Christian life.”
